Peacock Nail Art (Fall)

It's officially October! New month is starting and new things are changing. First off, fashion. A simple DIY nail art to suit the season, and the theme is one of my favourite, blue!

Begin by cleaning your nails so that there are no chipped nails nor dirt on it. After cleansing, apply a coat of base coat for nail protection and let dry. First color to use would be something light and i picked pale blue. Let dry before applying second coat of a darker color shade of blue on top as shown in the second picture (note that I left a bit of pale blue showing at the base). Lastly, I used black as the last coating and similarly, apply as shown in the third picture where it shows the previous color before.

Let dry and you're done! Simple, easy and it reminds me of a peacock's feather thus the peacock nail art! Do try experimenting with different colors to create your special palette of colors. Have fun! :)

Weather's been so hot here lately and with yesterday's fire the heat was unbearable. Advice for hot and unhealthy weather like this? Stay indoors, drink lots of water and stay in well ventilated place.

Hope your week has been fun. Mine was busy but tomorrow I can finally relax and catch up on my creative projects. Stay healthy and happy! :)

Girly Fun

Things you need:
Pale colour nail polish
Transparent/ clear nail polish
Sticky tape
Scissors

How to:
1. Cut ten small strips of sticky tape and stick them onto your nails covering half your nails near the bottom part closer to the cuticles.
2. Using a bright colour or pale colour polish apply onto uncovered part of your nails and let dry before stripping off the tapes.
3. After that, apply clear nail polish on your nails to give it a shiny look before applying topcoat as a second protective layer.
4. Let dry and you're done! :)

Friday's Letters {4}

Dear Friday, thanks for coming so promptly! Today is the last day of my practical as a student radiographer!  It's finally overrr! :)

Dear friends and coursemates, it's been fun having practical with you guys, working together at the same hospital for 2 months! I'll miss seeing you! All the best in the future!

Dear N, can't wait for more dates after this now that I'll be much freer :D

Dear sun, thank you so much for drying my laundry so fast. Please don't go away yet! :p

Dear grey cells, please work extra hard for me to help think of a nice Mother's Day gift for N's mom? I'd appreciate that a lot! :) 

Another nail art I'd like to share this week! Hope you like it. (reminds me a little bit of a watermelon!)

Peach color for base coating, light palette color for nail tip bit. Hair pin as a dotting tool using black nail polish. 

Small and cute piggy bank (or should I say ladybird bank???) a gift from the hospital :)

Polka Dots Nail Art

Simple and easy nail art! All you need is one transparent nail polish, one milky colour nail polish (or any bright colour of your choice), and a dotting tool (I used the blunt end of a hair pin since I do not own a dotting tool).

Apply a thin coat of transparent nail polish as a base. Let dry. Use dotting tool to dot on polka dots randomly. Let dry. Cover with another top coat of transparent nail polish and you're done! Easy right? :)

Rusty Red

This colour is now on one of my favourite nail polish list. There are just some days when you don't feel like being wild or colourful and it's colours like this that matches your mood!

 Tone it up a notch by adding glitter on the ring finger! I just apply gold glitter glue on top of the nail polish and let dry. Paint a coat of transparent nail polish on it to protect your glitter and you're done!
