Chin Up!

Rag cloth ribbon. I just used an old colourful cloth to wrap it around my braid a few times to give it a more country, carefree and well, bohemian look. Love the warm colours of the fabric.

When life gets you down, give it a smile, get back up and tell yourself you're gonna make it through. It's a new day, and anything might happened. Don't go search for a miracle. Appreciate one right in front of you.

Hope your Monday was okay. Mine was good! :)

Simple Things

Monday, 10 June 2013

Hello everybody! It's Monday again and I know for some it may be a blue Monday but for me, today, no matter how blue things may seem to me I'm going to make sure it's a great day! Yep simple things in life is enough to make us happy if we only stop for a moment to take notice of them.

What kind of simple things to make me happy? Hmm that's not a hard one.
Things like jogging in the morning breathing in the fresh air and feeling the gentle touch of the sunlight on your skin, or playing piano and singing along to the melodious tunes and the feeling of piano keys under my touch, or just talking to N on the phone with the distance of the South China Sea in between us but not feeling the distance in our hearts because together we are one in spirit, or maybe just having a simple breakfast with the family.

Yeah those things make me happy. Simple, not much energy needed, nor money spent, just simple things. There's a saying that goes 'the best things in life are free' and I totally agree with it.

What are the simple things that make you happy? Would love to hear a few :)
Have an un-blue Monday! :)

Jar of Advice

Sunday, 26 May 2013
Morning! Let's start this Sunday with a nice DIY, shall we? Was browsing through my bucket list and I saw one that caught my eye that I could've easily cross that item off my list if I take time to try it, and so I did! Fold 1000 stars with words written in them, which gives me an idea to write inspirational short bible quotes in them so that in times of trouble or sadness I'll just take one star from the jar and open it to see what advice I'll find! :)

Right, so without lingering any longer let's get down to it!

All you need:
A big empty jar
Colour strips with one side blank to write words on
A pen
A bible

Find a quote that you think is nice, write it on the blank side of the strip and fold it into a star!

Pop the star into the jar for further use and now try making more stars!

Simple and easy? I bet it'll look nice once I've filled the jar with colourful stars and use it also as a decor.
Have a blessed Sunday! :)

Accidents

Wednesday, 13 February 2013
I don't believe in accidents. There are only encounters in history. There are no accidents.
