Save The Pups

Here's what's been happening lately - looking out for these stray pups so that they won't be caught and killed by the authorities in charge. Yep, cruel, ain't it. Here, we have rescue centers for animals but they're too full to accept normal healthy ones. Brought food for them, looked after them (as well as can be done as none of us can foster them) and find adopters for them so that they'll find a good home. And guess what? We've found one for one of them! Yep there's two and there's one more to go. Hopefully she'll find a good home soon. Cheers! :)

Little Joys

Did some paintings lately, can't say it doesn't bring any joy, especially after you saw how it turned out. Next week is going to be another stressful week so while it lasts, am just going to soak in the moment and enjoy the relaxing times I have left.

Life lately has been very stressful as you can tell by the lack of posts. Time is limited and whenever there's free time, it is used up for a much needed rest. Today, however, the crave to do something creative overrides the need to rest. Spend time polishing up my painting skills and yes, amidst the hustle and bustle of life, the need to find back all those things that I used to do when I was a kid is in a kind of a way, relaxing. All those childish impulse, those childish hobbies that we cast aside as well, childish, are actually what tells us that we enjoy doing.

Also, amidst the busy-ness of life, thoughts about life's true purpose came pouring in. What we make ourselves do everyday, each day's routine, responsibities, what does it all amount to at the end of the day? Does it fulfill the purpose of us being here or we are just following each others' footsteps in doing what should be done as taught by the society?

Deep. Reflections. And Stressed. These words just about summed up my life as a sonographer trainee lately.

Lately {13}

1. Christa, one of the funniest people I know in college. Just by hearing her laughter is enough to make you smile.

2. Attended a Nick Vujicic (was taught to pronounce his name as Vui-jic) talk last night. It was really motivating and inspiring. Am grateful that I was invited (for free!) to attend that talk. Surely everything must happened for a good reason and we're all there for a reason too? :)

3. Lovely sunrise. Can't resist to take a snap when I saw it. Don't you just love it?

4. The boyfie and I. And I thank God for this wonderful person who love me to bits :)

Lately {12}

Been a while since I've done a lately post. Lately I've been pretty busy. This week is Physics week and can't say it's not a challenge. Besides attending lectures, we have to stay back for extra time to practise scanning. Am still learning the technique and image optimization. Hopefully by the end of this week or next I'll be able to scan beautifully :)

Lately {11}

Am I the only one who got so lazy by the summer heat that ideas for blogging seemed to have flown? Lately there's nothing much productive that I've done here except for eating and enjoying the sun. I'm super glad the haze is gone and the weather isn't so hot if compared to before.

Maybe I'll post up something fun again soon. Can't promise that though. This heat is killing all my creative juices and funnily though, with all the food I'm consuming, my weight seems to stay comfortably put. Any ideas on weight gain, for a change?

Oh well. Have an enjoyable summer ahead guys. I for one am no doubt having a lazy time :p

Weather's been so hot here lately and with yesterday's fire the heat was unbearable. Advice for hot and unhealthy weather like this? Stay indoors, drink lots of water and stay in well ventilated place.

Lately life is kind of simple and happy. Did nothing productive much lately, except for jogging in the mornings (if you call that productive). Am planning a few DIY-es next week though to use up a few grey cells. What have you been up to lately? Remember to link up! :)

1. 'Now You See Me' movie ticket for two for N and I. We're having our last date together before I go back home for a month long break.
2. N smiling at me while I took pictures of him.
3. Airplane shot. Love the great view.
4. Grand ballroom attended a friend's wedding dinner.
5. Morning breakfast with family and friends.
6. Dad's special: homemade shepherd's pie!

Lately it's mostly about food, and the people I love. Am back for the holiday break and it's good I get to spend quality time with my family again. Only down part of it was I had to leave N for a month and I'm missing him badly already!

Will be looking forward to going back but in the meanwhile, am having a nice relaxing time with my family. There's a time for everything, I always believe in that. And I thank God for the people He sent into my life to help make life more meaningful.

Nothing much lately but more to focusing on relaxing and how awesome the weather is. Practised a bit on my camera and finally got the whole bokeh thing! :)

Was contemplating about this a lot too lately and I'm still not very sure about it, but yes, I've started a new blog on tumblr, using the name Janyie which I've created (something to do with January which is the month I was born in!). It is more to boho related stuff as I've found out that the style is really nice and it's what I've been searching for all these while but can't seemed to put a name to it (mainly laces, long maxi skirts, native patterns and such), it just occurred to me that it's boho!

Lately it's been mostly about random and creative stuff. I'm glad that this week after my practical at the hospital, it's a more relaxing and more to a week where I do the things I love :)

For my to-do list this week I'm glad to say I've managed to check 5 items off the list. Am still waiting for the chance where I can go out and try experimenting with my camera. Can't wait to explore and take some beautiful pictures out there!

lately {4}

Lately it's mostly been about food and fun stuff. Yesterday I played organ for mass with N and it was a nice experience. Professionally, it sounded a bit messy with the drums, the guitar, the keyboard and the organ all with their own tempo but overall I think it's passable. Can't wait to play again for Pentecost mass! :)

Ps: Even though the election is over, people are still expecting trouble ahead as lately there's been a lot of racism comments even from our very own Prime Minister! It is really sad to think people are so insecure enough to think trifle things like differences in skin colour and culture matters. Pray for my country? And pray for world's peace too :)

Lately {3}

Mostly lately, time has been spent with love ones, especially N. I'm very grateful and happy for this week where we spent endless time together be it our anniversary, going to church, choir practice, shopping for groceries or family activities. Every moment count and every moment is special. I am indeed a very lucky girl to have him by my side :)

One thing lately: THE MOVE!!! :D
yep yep I've finally finished moving to my new apartment and yes! I'm very happy with it! Only thing left for me to do now is to tidy it up and decorate it accordingly. Can't wait to post up pictures after I'm done! :)

1. Moving out
2. Celebrating our being-together anniversary on Saturday (me and N)
3. Do all the DIY projects I've posted about lately (dream-catchers, tattoos, and maybe more!)
4. Spending more time with my college mates cum roommate-to-housemate friends!

Lately {1}

A quick recap on what happened lately: making the Divine Mercy stained glass on Sunday, new ear piercing to complete an item on my bucket list on Monday, having lots of 100 plus for my bouts of headaches this week, and enjoying the last few days in my small cozy room before moving to a bigger one next week.

If you ask me, I'd say this is quite an interesting week for me. Crossed quite a number of items off my to-do list and I hope next week will be even more productive!

I can't wait for weekend to come where more fun things will happen but in the meanwhile, I meant to enjoy every weekday moment too you bet I will!
